Inspired by a photograph of a 1960's interior, I've focused on the strong, sleek lines and textures in this cosy corner. A cup of coffee sits quietly, waiting for its owner to return. I've added in a touch of Spring - the cherry blossoms that signal warmer days and nights and bring colour and joy. This is a happy painting - an optimistic one painted during a time of uncertainty and anxiety. It brought me much joy to paint this.
